2 communists in my house

Everything started 3 weeks ago, when I was holding my back bag to get to the train station heading to Brussels, and found a Chinese guy in my flat, telling me that he’s our new flat mate. Wow, great, I was so happy as after having Iranian flat mates and knowing a lot about their country, it’s my perfect chance to know about another part of the world, which is interesting for me. When the guy entered his room and discovered that he hasn’t got bed sheets and covers, I volunteered by giving him my sleeping bag to use till I come back, but unfortunately didn’t had time to show him  the instructions of “how to use a SLEEPING BAG”!!

When I arrived back after the weekend, I’ve found the guy thanking me for borrowing him my “pillow”, which I started the explanation that it’s not a pillow (that thing that you put your head over when you’re sleeping) but it’s a sleeping bag, which you can unfold and throw your body inside, but after a week, when he got the covers, I discovered that it was totally useless when he give it back to me, and thanking me again for the PILLOW!! Hmmm, ok?! So the guy’s got problem dealing with English, fine….but the other shock for me was that I’ve left the house before the weekend with everything organized, clean, and in order, but after the weekend the scene was a bit different, as there was a Chinese noodles and rice bomb exploded in the whole house, and because it was my cleaning week, I started hovering when I’ve found that the only thing getting into the hover is rice and noodles.

I’ve started to feel better that we’re catching a long deep cultural discussions, when I start one of those half an hour discussion with him nodding his head, that sometimes I feel dizzy and that the whole world is shaking around me, but that’s not the problem……the problem is that I discover that he don’t get much of what I’m saying!! My biggest surprise was one day when I was cooking and found him staring at the dish filled with pasta and asking me what’s that!!

Well, actually that wasn’t the problem that made me move the last weekend from the house, as the aggressive attitude of the Iranian guy who already made 2 ex-flatmates move out was the main reason, but this time, it was so barbarian attitude as I couldn’t avoid him anymore because we’ve been working on an academic project in the same group, and my cold attitude toward him made him furious and wanted to start a street fight!! So, I decided to move out to the next house with a guy from Vietnam, Indonesia and another German.

Though, since I’ve moved and I’ve been busy working on projects and stuff, but I’ve discovered that living with nice flatmates could turn your life better :)

Come on baby light my fire

With more than 150 something replies over the general forum on AIESEC.net’s global learning community, I think the topic of caricaturizing prophet Mohamed by Jyllands-Posten is the hottest issue over the world now. The good thing about it, is that it made it obvious for us how cultural conflicts can get us to hell fire by a small spark specially at the countries that have different ethnic groups living in, and such countries claiming that they’re open for different cultures and they’re sensitive toward those groups. I don’t know about other European countries, but I think, from the cultural side, the Dutch education system has proven to be better than other countries like France, Germany, UK, Norway, and Denmark. The thing about Dutch schools that they teach bits and pieces from each religion, so people can be familiar with the basics when they grow up.

Did anybody though of all the consequences of those caricatures? Here it’s: the cartoons were published on September 30th, and guess what?! An Egyptian magazine was the first to republish them on October 17th!! On October 20th, ten ambassadors complained to the Danish PM, then the spark started by the gunmen raid to EU’s office in Gaza, papers in France, Germany, Italy and Spain republished them, Syrians attacked the Danish and Norwegian embassies in Damascus, Lebanese torched the Danish embassy in Beirut, protests claim lives in Afghanistan, Iranians attacked the Danish embassy in Tehran, Danish FM’s urged all Danish citizens to leave Indonesia, and then protests in Pakistan and Iraq, people got killed in Libya and Nigeria, and rallies in Istanbul, an Italian and Libyan ministers resigned……oh damn, it seems like the line of fire has been already set, when somebody has lit its starting tip!!

Despite that, I’m really surprised why such countries that are sheltering behind a fake freedom slim sheet of glass, are keeping on provoking different ethnic groups including Muslims, Christians, Jews, and all others. It’s not just about Islam, but I’ve found this silly ad about a T-shirt and it’s not funny, it’s just a provocative drawing.

BUT, I’m wondering why those stupid savages are burning Danish flags and embassies for caricaturising the prophet, and not even noticing all those cartoons making fun of Jesus, which according to Islam can’t be caricaturized as well, but this proves the theory that those people are ignorant, and don’t have enough knowledge about Islam and driven by evil leaders.

European Heaven and Hell

What's a European's idea of heaven? It's where the English are the police, the French are the cooks, the Swiss are the bankers, the Italians are the lovers, and the Germans are the engineers.

Subhan Alah (dixology to God)

Was checking my e-mail today, when I’ve seen that post from a Tunisian friend about a miracle in Islam……..frankly speaking, I felt like OH no more of junk mail!! But going quickly through the first lines attracted me toward the topic that made me start searching about the scientific and political facts and was surprised that it’s true, so I was wrong….it’s not one of those junks, but it’s an extraordinary impressing piece of a scientific fact.

Here it goes:
During the prophet’s life, the Atheists of Mecca told him, if you’re a true messenger, ask your god to split the moon. He prayed to god to make it true, and it was!! The moon got split into two parts, one over El-Safa mountain, the other over El-Kaika’an’s. The Atheists said that Mohamed has through a spell against them and made them see so, but if he did so to them, he can’t spell others from different neighbouring cities, so they decided to wait till somebody from the neighbouring cities to come over and tell them about it, and it was. Then there was a versus in Quran about it “the hour for the resurrection has approached and the moon is split * the atheists have seen the sign and they say a continuous magic * they’ve lied and followed their own wills * we’ve sent to them from our wisdom, but they don’t believe” sorry for the translation.

Dr. Zaghloul El-Naggar (one Egyptian researcher in Islamic scientific facts) was delivering a lecture in a British university and said that the fact of the moon splitting was proved recently and he told the story:

One British guy who was interested in Islam called David Musa Pidcock, has been given a translated book about the meanings of Quran, and when he read that versus, he wondered “does the moon split?!” and he thrown the book and never read in it again, till one day, when he was following a TV show on BBC, and the British announcer was hosting three American astronomy scientists, and was blaming US for spending billions of dollars on astronomical researches to invade the space, while there are millions of people who are dying of starvation. They were claiming that such researches support agriculture and industrial fields, and they mentioned one of the big projects that cost over 100 million dollars to study the geological constituents of the moon to see how similar it’s to earth. They said that they’ve discovered a rocks belt cutting the moon into two halves, from the core to the surface!! And they concluded that the moon got split at some point in its history and reformed back again!!

When Mr. David seen that on TV, he was thinking that the Americans have spent millions of dollars to prove a miracle incident that happened to Mohamed and written in Quran from 1400 years ago!!

Mr. David now is the leader of the Islamic party of Britain, and he’s going for the next elections.

updates, updates, and.......more updates!!

2 weeks ago, have been to Brussels to visit a friend, and haven’t gone to much places there, but though have found it a hilarious city……don’t know if it’s just my impression, but it’s so funny realising how dual langed the city is, you can never imagine till you go there, and look at the street names signs, you’ll find that some of the streets have a French name and translated Flemish name!! was thinking how confusing should it be for the post service (

This is a perfect place to go to, in front of the great Palais de justice building, where you can see a big part of Brussels under your feet!! Well, at that place there’s the interesting “SOCIAL” elevator, as it goes between 2 different levels in Brussels. The difference is in height, but in the social level as well, as it goes from the classy touristic shopping district (the first floor), to the socio-economic lower class residential district.

‘cause I’m so lucky, on Sunday, I was running to catch up the train from a different train station than the one I’ve arrived at, because it was supposed to be closer….anyway, I wanted to take that train to catch up with Romas and Soad at Amsterdam, and when I’ve felt like getting lost, I asked the first person met about directions, but he said “English no”, hmmmm, ok, after trying my screwed up French, basic German or Dutch, and then my few words in Italian, Spanish or Turkish, he turned out to be Russian…..Damn, that’s what you get when you’re rushing, what a luck!! After going in between buildings and mazy roads, I’ve discovered that the train station is inside a building, really wanted to shoot it, except that I didn’t had time, as the train’s doors closed just after I stepped in, but I’ll get back to Brussels one day to do (

Last week, Verena, the Austrian trainee in Utrecht told me that they’re doing an outing to gather the trainees, sounded interesting, and got me there where I had a chat with Carol, a Brazilian trainee, who turned out to be an old @er, and told me that NatCo is in 2 days…..WOW, consider me in. Well, the Dutch conferences have a bit of a different concept than the Egyptian ones. Despite the free conf fees and staying at NH (4 stars hotel) and having the conference site on Fortis (one of the Dutch banks), a bigger delegation, but not so, although having 9 LCs and not 4!! Having the first day dressing in formal, and making all the dances and roll calls in suits was a bit strange for me as well. The LAS VEGAS night was the theme party, with all the cowboys and craziness around.

Well, forming a trainees’ community was one of the best things out of NatCo, beside knowing that I can join in the global village at IPM, YEAH…..i’m so excited for it (

Military information on a MEMORY STICK

The article
I don’t know if this can happen in anywhere else in the world, but I found it weird!!
The article that surprised me this week was about an officer in the Dutch army who lost a memory stick with sensitive military information, in a rented car, where 2 young guys found it and sent it back to the military after they’ve copied its content and sending it to RTL.

Well, the thing that surprised me wasn’t anything in the story except that the fact of having such sensitive information about a Dutch mission in Afghanistan and special trainings on a MEMORY STICK!! Despite losing it, I think any stupid person knows that transferring important information can’t take place thru memory sticks, I remember when I was working on my graduation project and we’re always afraid of losing the data, we’ve never trusted such sticks, but at the end it was a graduation project and not military data!!
